Bakersville, NC-  Claude Guy Silver(s), age 95, of Polly Hollow Road, Bakersville, NC, passed away January 20, 2010 at the Brian Center in Spruce Pine, NC. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and the son of the late Cleve and Mamie Buchanan Silver(s). He was previously employed at Baxter Health Care in Marion, NC and attended Cane Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include: daughter, Ann Buchanan of Marion, NC, sons, Lee Silver(s) of Bakersville, NC, Rev. Dean Silver(s) of Marion, NC, Dennis Silver(s) of Spruce Pine, NC, sister, Bernice Howell of Bakersville, NC, brothers, Charles Silver(s) of Marion, NC, and Howard Silver(s) of Bakersville, NC, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by wives, Mary Johnson Silver(s) and Beatrice Dellinger Silver(s), daughter, Barbara Howell, brothers, Lucian, Brown, Ray Silver(s), and sisters. Kate Byrd, and Revia Buchanan.

Funeral service was held January 23, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville, NC. Mark McKinney officiated the service. Interment followed in the Silver

Chapel Cemetery.
